We envision thriving, low-low carbon, resilient cities and communities. Our mission is to support, empower and connect teams of community volunteers, city staff and elected leaders active with 50+ MN Cities and 7 counties to implement high impact, equitable low-carbon local policies and projects. Supporting cities to mitigate and adapt to climate change while advancing equity and community resilience is our core focus.

Sean Gosiewski, Executive Director, 612 250-0389 sean@rccmn.co As RCC’s Executive Director, Resilient Cities Sean supports and connects metro citizen, neighborhood, nonprofit, city and county leaders to work together to achieve neighborhood, city and county climate, energy, equity, resilience and sustainability goals together. Previously, Sean served as the Executive Director of the the Alliance for Sustainability for 18 years.

Gladys bring a wealth of experience and connections with both City Departments and community based organizations through her past role with the City of Minneapolis Health Department Green Careers Exploration Program.

As RCC’s Program Director, Gladys,

• Links community organizations and residents between municipal, county and federal resources
• Builds partnerships with communities to broaden outreach and engagement by supporting health and environmental initiatives

Our origins are deeply rooted in community. We started as a project of the Alliance for Sustainability, and after three years of groundbreaking community development work we were ready to become an independent organization focused on community resilience.

We work with community coalitions, city environmental commissions and other environmental thought leaders to curb carbon emissions and meet local and state climate action goals.
