THANKs to everyone who joined us! Corcoran/ Powderhorn Tree ID Walk Thursday June 12 6:30pm to 8pm at Corcoran Park Good news! A neighbor is paying to inject the big remaining elm n near the park on 33rd St between 20th and 21st.

Let’s save our big, beautiful remaining elms! We met with Shahin Khalili Community Forester, Mpls Health Dept. & Dan Petters, Certified Arborist, Northern Arborists to Learn how to identify the common trees in our neighborhoods with the Hennepin Co Tree ID Guide and by with the I-Naturalist phone app. They answered our questions on tree selection, placement, watering, mulching and pruning best practices for healthy trees. We planned our next steps to protect our big elm trees – by talking with neighbors with big elms in their yards to share the option of treating their Elm (and to know if they have already done it) and by sharing the Fall Tree Sale and city financial assistance for hazard tree removal

THANKS to everyone who joined us to help us Re-launch our quarterly Corcoran soup suppers!
